Easynet is a pan-European Broadband Network provider with operations in ten European countries. Established in 1994, Easynet operates its own '21st Century network', delivering innovative IP solutions to public and private sector customers. Easynet provides hosting and co-location facilities within its purpose-built data centre at 1bricklane, and security solutions to businesses throughout the UK and across Europe.
Easynet was the first ISP in Europe to provide Internet access using ADSL technology and was the first in the UK to provide DSL services over an unbundled local loop. Easynet has pioneered the Local Loop Unbundling program in the UK and currently has 240 exchanges "unbundled" covering 4.4 million homes and 750,000 businesses. In December 2004, Easynet launched the first wholesale alternative to BT available in the UK, LLUStream, which offers significant cost advantages and service level opportunities, with speeds of up to 8Mbps.
